The myers art Prize
About the Myers Art Prize
The Myers Art Prize is an annual juried art competition open to all students currently enrolled in the Art and Art Education Program at Teachers College, Columbia University. Each year a new, relevant theme for the competition is announced and a notable figure from the art world is invited to serve as guest juror.
The juried competition culminates in a widely celebrated exhibition of the winning artworks in the Macy Art Gallery and with the distribution of a select number of monetary awards. The award-winning works become part of the Teachers College Art and Art Education Program’s permanent collection.
The Resilience: Myers Art Prize is a juried exhibition of Art and Art Education Program student work focused on the practice of resilience during a time of social and political unrest and isolation.
