Embrace:seeing through the eyes of asylum advocates

Embrace: Seeing through the Eyes of Asylum Advocates represents the culmination of a multi-year participatory action research project. This photovoice exhibition reflects the experiences of co-researchers working globally in the fields of medicine, mental health, social services, language interpretation, and photojournalism to support individuals and families fleeing persecution and violence.

Through the creation of photographs that document the impact of forced displacement and the presentation of images that symbolize aspects of their work with survivors of torture and ill treatment the team hopes to share diverse perspectives on the impact of current human rights crises on individuals and communities.
