Myers Prize Exhibition - Intervene (Interconnectedness)

This annual exhibition features artwork by students in the Art & Art Education Program that have been selected for the Myers Art Prize and which will join the Program’s permanent collection. The works chosen are provocative and insightful responses to the prompt and title of the show. To intervene is not to stand apart, but to act from within, from the recognition that we are already interdependent. Our bodies share matter with soil, water, and stars; our thoughts are shaped by histories, relationships, and systems we move through. This year’s theme asks artists to sit with interconnectedness as a starting condition — and to consider what care, disruption, or responsibility becomes possible within this awareness. We welcome work that makes visible the connections we live inside: ecological, social, ancestral, psychic — the threads that connect us, seen and unseen.
